Fire Testing

The ultimate fire and blast protection, proven by rigorous testing and independent certification.

Understanding Fire Resistance Ratings (FRR)

Our products carry certified Fire Resistance Ratings (FRR) of up to 240/240/240 minutes. Each product is tested in accordance with AS1530.4 by IANZ-accredited, ISO17025-certified laboratories. This process reflects our unwavering commitment to safety and quality.

Fire testing measures product performance under simulated fire conditions to demonstrate real-world protection. Products are exposed to industrial furnaces exceeding 1200°C and assessed against three key criteria: Structural Adequacy, Integrity, and Insulation.

Two industrial furnaces with open doors revealing intensely hot, glowing orange interiors. The furnace on the left has a circular opening inside, while the furnace on the right is larger with a textured interior. Both furnaces are set in an industrial facility with concrete flooring.

Structural Adequacy

this refers to a loadbearing element’s ability to maintain stability and adequate loadbearing capacity

An industrial manufacturing scene showing a large, flat object glowing bright orange from extreme heat. The object is suspended by a crane system above industrial machinery. Below it appears to be a furnace with doors open. The setting is an industrial facility with control equipment visible on the left wall.

Integrity

this refers to the ability of the tested material to resist the passage of flames and hot gasses from one space to another

A sliding door undergoing a fire resistance test in a laboratory setting. The door glows bright orange from intense heat inside a test furnace. A digital display board in the foreground shows test details: job number PE24140, product 'SLIDING DOOR', customer ARKULUS, test standard AS 1530 Part 4, date 20/12/2024, and duration of 244 minutes. A technician can be seen to the right of the test apparatus.

Insulation

this refers to the ability of the surface of an element not exposed to the furnace to maintain a temperature below specified limits
